Early September signals the start of the academic year and plenty of students beginning their adventure in new accommodation. Over in Hull, this particular September has seen the start of something special – the official opening of brand new, high quality student accommodation that has been named the “University Quarter”.
The University Quarter is a landmark partnership between Kexgill and The University of Hull. It had its grand unveiling this week and was officially launched by the university’s chief finance officer Stephen Willis.
Located on Cranbrook Avenue adjacent to the university campus, these Edwardian houses are well equipped with American fridge-freezers, unlimited Wi-Fi and large bedrooms – around three-quarters of which have en-suite facilities. CCTV, 24/7 support and regular security patrols ensure the development are kept safe and secure.
Students from all across the world have come together to live in the houses. They are actively paired up with other students who share the same interests . Kexgill managing director Richard Stott says; “We are doing sober and quite accommodation so if you don’t want to get drunk every night, we are putting like-minded people together. That can suit different types of religion.”
